The cuscione plateau
30 km from the campsite, there is a plateau with little streams forming ponds called pozzines. Here, you will meet wild horses, pigs, goats and cows grazing.
CUCURUZZU
It is a prehistoric site. A marked trail gently goes down to a glen where you will find a fortress from which you could admire the green region and Bavella needles.
Alta Rocca museum
Archeology and paleo ethnography. Here, you will make a time travel thanks to nine areas built around striking civilisation facts and central compositions from archeologic digs.
FAVONA
8 km from Solenzara, Favona and Canella bays are the gateways to Southern Corsica and its idyllic beaches. White sand and crystal-clear water beaches will welcome and surprise you on these two beaches.
Waterfalls and hiking
not far from the campsite, many GR20 hikes. Discover Pulischellu, Purcaraccia or the Vacca waterfalls.
Fauna and flora
discover an endemic fauna and flora in the low-and-medium-height maquis and high forests.
Bavella needles
18 km from the campsite, discover the outstanding site of Bavella needles. Peaking at 1899m, Bavella needles connect the western part of Corsica (through Sartene area) to the eastern coast.
SOLENZARA
a small seaside village with its marina and its numerous ice-cream parlours. In summer, every Wednesday evening, from 7 pm, the streets become car-free and local craftsmen and producers display their products, shops are open.
ZONZA
nested in the mountains, the picturesque village of Zonza houses a beautiful forest and the highest racecourse in Europe. Only in summer, you can attend horse races and bet on them in an exceptional setting at 1000m high.
